Criticism Over Facebook Releases

The two new Facebook features launched yesterday ended up not being embraced by users like Facebook hoped they would. Facebook groups protesting the development have even begun popping up, some with thousands of members. In response to the negative reactions, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg posted a blog entry titled Calm down. Breathe. We hear you. in an attempt to appease users and calm their fears. In it, he states,

We’re not oblivious of the Facebook groups popping up about this (by the way, Ruchi is not the devil). And we agree, stalking isn’t cool; but being able to know what’s going on in your friends’ lives is.

That pretty much summarizes what people are saying about Mini-Feed and News Feed. If Facebook doesn't handle this situation correctly, they'll lose some of their aura of invincibility. Below is a screenshot of the website OldFacebook.com
