Social Stock Picks with socialPicks

socialPicks is a service that allows you to share stock picks and tips with others. With companies trying to combine anything they can think of with the concept of social networking, it makes sense that someone would come out with a service for stocks.

On the other hand, a big question will be whether people are actually willing to be so public and transparent about their financial decisions, even with friends. Myspace exploded because it tapped into a demographic with nothing better to do than secretly track each others lives online, but will business savvy adults buy into the social networking craze?

Another interesting idea along the same lines is DigStock, which is basically a clone of Digg except that it only presents financially focused information and links.
