ChinesePod: Learn Mandarin Through Podcasts

ChinesePod is a website that provides Chinese lessons through podcasting. What's surprising about it is how popular it has become in the past year or two. On Yahoo Podcasts, ChinesePod is ranked 4th on the list of most popular podcasts. Ken Carroll, the founder, tells me that 5 million lessons have been downloaded so far, and that the business is profitable.
The podcasts are free, but they also offer a premium service that combines audio lessons with transcripts. An interview with Ken will be put up in a few days.
