MediaFire Continues Incredible Growth
When I first wrote about MediaFire in October 2006, many people doubted that MediaFire could keep its seemingly absurd promise of unlimited storage space and bandwidth. Since then, traffic has continued to grow exponentially, making MediaFire one of the fastest growing and most successful file storage services available on the web.
Here is MediaFire's Alexa traffic graph:

The rate at which MediaFire is growing is even more clear when compared to the traffic graph of Box.net, a competing online storage service that raised a $1.5 million Series A investment from Draper Fisher Jurvetson:

While Box.net has doubled in traffic over the past year, MediaFire has gone from launch to being ranked in Alexa's top 200 websites in a little over half the time.
Compared to photo hosting behemoth Photobucket, which was recently acquired by Myspace for a rumored $250 million, MediaFire appears to exhibit even faster early stage growth.

If the value of a company were directly related to the traffic information provided by Alexa, then we could conclude that MediaFire is already worth somewhere between $80 - $100 million after less than one year since launch.
We will be publishing an interview with MediaFire co-founder Tom in the very near future.
