It’s both interesting and creepy that Twitter has become the primary and fastest way I hear about famous people passing away. I still remember the day Michael Jackson died and how much of a role Twitter played in propagating news regarding that.

Just saw someone I follow tweet “RIP Les Paul”. I hurried over to Wikipedia and, sure enough, found out he died today.
